An Architectural Quilt
Collaborators: Alonzo Davis, Zoma Wallace, Robin Pfeifer Thompson \ Studio Assistants: Andrea Portillo & Pamela Miller.
OUR Challenge:
How can we drape an entire building with a quilt?
2. What textile can we use to withstand unpredictable weather, exhibit maximum durability and aesthetic beauty, while maintaining its form against the pull of gravity?
Zoma’s SOLUTION:
Inflated Pouches of Metalized Tyvek.
The Result:

Obscura Digital
Collaborating with the NYC-based firm, Obscura Digital, Zoma conceived and curated an interactive projection that allowed viewers to explore public artworks throughout the city virtually. This installation, titled Remote Patrol, was the highlight of the (e)merge Art Fair and was funded by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

Cherry blossom festival
As an extension of the Cherry Blossom Project, Zoma re-imagined iona rozeal brown’s signature subwoofer iconography as a biodegradable mural composed of folded origami butterflies.
To bring the concept to life, local students and residents were invited to fold hundreds of butterflies with the artist and curator, using custom paper embedded with wildflower seedlings.
Over time, the paper was meant to dissolve and release its seeds below, transforming from an unconventional mural into an urban butterfly garden.
